It's a gray, dreary day, but I wanted to go out and play with my new toy. This is the view looking across the swamp from my garden area.

And now for some Friday cat blogging:

Brrr...cold picture.
Whiter Biter? Is there a story behind that name?

Actually, it's above freezing today; we're probably about the same temperature as you! That's why we have the fog.

And since you asked...the kids picked out that name. Originally we had two kittens, White Socks and Brown Socks, named for the colors of their feet. (Brown Socks is still with us, but outdoors) The name White Socks somehow mutated into Whiter Biter, a.k.a Doofus. He ain't the brightest kitty, but he's lovable.

Thanks. That makes perfect sense to me sense Flounder's name morphed into Floundoo, which morphed into Dooboy. Poor dog is so confused.

He is a pretty cat...lynx like.

Merry Christmas, Deb! It's been a gift to meet you this year.

I am so glad you got that camera! Love that snowy scene.

Our cat's name is Bonsai, but he's called Bonny-boy, Mr. B, Bonbon, Bonaroo, and almost anything else that begins with "B". He doesn't answer to any of them.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday with the family, Deb. Thanks for being part of our 2005.

I have to admit that our cats George, Ginger, and Dusty have become Georgy-Porgy, Gingie-Whingie, and Dusty-Wusty... Then of course there's the dog Jazzy-Wazzy. Sad, really.

Deb-

Isn't it strange how you can miss someone you don't really know.

Merry Christmas!

I'll be back, I promise!

Love,
Jim

jim- I have missed you too! Best wishes in the new year.

I guess we're not the only family where pet names have changed to suit our (not their) whims! Poor confused pets...as if they care; Rexroth's Daughter said it right! They don't answer to any of them.
