This bald eagle behaved wonderfully for the camera, first announcing his/her presence by soaring over the car, then lighting in the top of a spruce tree and posing. This is with the full optical and digital zoom capabilities, 14x total zoom.
Oh how beautiful. Hopefully that golden eagle I keep spotting will stand still for me one day. Isn't the noise they make just amazing. i have heard it on TV but hearing it in real life is a completely different story.
The Bald Eagles returned here a few weeks ago too, and I've seen a juvenile several times now but haven't been able to get a good picture yet. With my new camera I do expect to get some good shots of them this winter. I sure missed a great sunset photo yesterday by going out without my camera, I won't do that again!

Is that a robin in it's talons...just kidding. Nice shot!
Hey pretty cool!
I would love to see that at Roundrock some day.
I am so happy for you! Such a moment finding that bird in your viewfinder and taking its picture. What a beauty. I wish you many, many more!
I just left RD's blog and cracked up when I got over here to see another eagle. How cool is that!
