What wonderful new addition for your family, and a great companion for Calvin, Starflower and Mr. Attitude to grow up with.
She will likely become the family pet your kids remember their entire lives, like our 'Easy', the gentle-hearted Collie/Golden Retriever mix that our kids grew up with and loved so much.
There are many moments ahead to cherish with this beautiful young pup, and I'm patiently waiting to hear the name you give her.
I'm sitting here at work, missing my new baby right now! Heart thief, indeed. She slept with Starflower last night, of course.
jim- Her name is Sal, or Sally; the girl in the family we bought her from had been calling her that, and we thought it sounded good!
By the way, we toasted her arrival home with...a Bigfoot! This just might be my new favorite beer; awesome hop complexity, and it left me with a definite smile on my face. We found a liquor store near St. Paul that sells it. Thanks for introducing it to me, Jim! :)
pablo- I'm embarrassed to say it, but I was even fawning over her messes this morning.
Awww.... Just was introduced to your blog this way, too. Very nice! I'm a new blogger from your apparent neck of the woods... great stuff on here! I've got to find some more time to explore the links- Thanks!
What a cute puppy! I was looking at the type of blogs you like, and while you may or may not like mine, I think you might like one I have in my link section called Earth,Sky&Beyond (or something like that!) Come on over to my blog and check it out if you like!!
Oh what a little sweet heart. It just makes you want to pick her up and squeeze her. I bet she makes puppy grunts too. You guys know what I'm talking about. YThe little grunts those big fat puppies make when you pick them up cause there bellies are so big. I love those little grunts.
katie and i are getting ready to move apartments in a couple months... one of our primary motivations is having somewhere that we can have a pooch. this post and that cute little picture certainly only reinvigorate that desire.
anyway, beautiful puppy. are she and togo getting along okay?
dharma bum--hope you find a good place that will let you share with a canine; they are a great joy. As for Togo and Sally, they haven't had the chance to meet. Togo is outside, we'll introduce them when Sally is more his size, although we'll probably have to get him neutered. :)
The doll is running around the house more now, eating like crazy, and playing with Dorf, our runt kitty. Kind of like Milo and Otis.

Entirely too adorable. Me? I would have encouraged my brother to have another baby instead. I can fawn over it, but he cleans up the messes.
