goldenness

This time of year, you just have to take a drive down the road and document the light and color. Because tomorrow, it will look different.

Headline of the day: "Parts of Minnesota get below-freezing temperatures"

Uhh...yeah...two weeks ago! I'm seriously thinking about going public with our apparent derivation from normal temperatures on our land here. Given the obsession Minnesotans have with meteorological facts, exposing a challenger to Embarrass would create quite a stir. For the non Minnesotans, Embarrass has the reputation of always recording the lowest temperatures in the state, or often, in the nation. I have some good dirt on them though.

I think we're up to it. I'll just show them what's left of my garden.

I can just see the wars you would start with this idea...every old time farmer in both communities would spend their coffe hour at the local cafe or bakery trotting out stories about "the winter of xxxx, when it got so cold that....". Banners would be strung crying out for the world to know that THIS town has the coldest temps in MN! Church ladies would refuse to even mention the rival town's name. You could probably get on the news and start a U of M study to determine who really does have the coldest temps just to settle the dispute....

ahhh, we Minnesotans with our misplaced pride! hehe

barefoot gardener-YES! If I got the Bruno Church Ladies on my side, I could do anything! But I do have Al at the local service station to back me up, he says everyone around here knows that southeast of town they just get frost somethin' bad. Paul Douglas could even do a special on it...
