Lynne- it was awesome, and the kids were with me so they got to see it too.
madcap- Surprising...I somehow thought there would be a lot of them in your area. They're certainly doing well here.
terry- It was feedin' time! When I watched our neighbor walk out there as I was grabbing my camera I thought, oh no, he's going to scare them away. But I guess from high in the tree, he didn't look like much of a threat.
Well, I'm a townie right now, and they don't like it this close to the city, I don't think. When we lived half an hour northeast, in a village, I used to spot them from time to time, several a year.

Lucky you- what a beautiful way to start your day!
I would love to see through an eagle's eyes for a day. They are always T'd up so high in the trees.
That's quite a sight! It's been a few years since I've seen a baldie.
What was the farmer doing that had the cows so interested?

Great you had your kids with you to see such a wonderful pair posing for you. I was hoping to see them in BC this summer, but only saw them flying.
What a great way to start the day. Neat that they don't mind the human activity.
Great Haiku for a great sighting!!
