Yes it very nasty but, I got a Lincoln's Sparrow out of it. I dug out my tray feeders and re-filled them and the birds came--Song Sparrows, Fox, White-throated, White-crowned and many house finches and house sparrows. We only had 8" in Fargo
Heidi- we had more purple finches here yesterday than I'd ever seen in one place. I'll try to send some of them your way.
Jan M- Yes, very. Hopefully the sun will stay out and get rid of the snow quickly.
Barefoot- It was a good excuse to stay indoors and be grumpy. Just like last Saturday.
FC- Our average last frost date is supposed to be around May 10 or so. But you've heard about my permafrost before.
Thanks on the picture. I should have thought to take a "before" and "after".
Rick- I had fox, white throated, and song sparrows; maybe if I hadn't left my binoculars in the car I could have id'd a Lincoln's. I saw my first of year yellow bellied sapsucker too.

Mmm hmm. At least you get the pretty birds at your house. Our birds are as drab as our scenery.
that is depressing...
This just stinks. Things start to green up, and then BAM we get hit with some more snow and freezing temps. Could it get more upsetting?
Sorry for the delay.
It's almost May and you are freezing?
The boys pics below are great!
