I forgot to mention: I saw my first kestrel of the year yesterday!
Other sightings: A pair of crows harassing a red tailed hawk, who seemed to be taking it pretty calmly.
A bald eagle soaring over Sand Creek.
Four inches of snow this morning. Oh well, three out of four ain't bad.

We're having fog snow this morning, 4 inches and visability of about 1/10 of a mile. That's what living on the north shore will do.
Will it stop snowing by mid-June Deb?
;-)
Glad you're seeing some spring signs anyway.
I saw my first kestral EVER the other day, sitting on a road sign. Very neat! I hear you about the snow....expecting some here too tonight.
Adele- Drive carefully, okay? No fog here, just clouds and snow.
LauraH- I hear the sandhill cranes are in a county maybe 70 miles to the south, and red winged blackbirds are on their way. Birding listservs are great this time of year!
Jan M- Kestrels are so beautiful. Funny, where I saw the one, is along a stretch of road with a few homes and farmsteads, and I ALWAYS see kestrels there in the summer, but never near my home. I think they are very locked into a certain type of habitat.
4 inches of snow--UGH! I hope it all melts today.
RuthieJ- All melted now. And then some. :)
