This is sooooooo coooooool! I wonder, is "Go Tell Aunt Rhodie" one of the first songs you have to learn on every instrument? I remember it was for flute, and piano....and now that I think about it, when I started teaching myself guitar, that was one of the first ones, there, too!
Hey Deb that was real good! After hearing that I am in the mood for gumbo! My daughter came home Friday from school all excited that she made the school orchestra that goes around and plays at events. Becca plays the violin.
Keep it up and soon enough you'll be on HeeHaw or at the Grand Ol Oprey!

Barefoot Gardener- Thanks! I do think "Go Tell Aunt Rhody" must be the universal beginner's song. Maybe it's because you only need to know five notes.
Mike H- Thanks! That's great that your daughter is in orchestra. I always enjoyed band and orchestra in high school and college (I played flute). And, I was so caught up in the video making process, I forgot to blog about seeing my first pine grosbeak of the year, then I saw three evening grosbeaks this morning! That'll have to be another post.

Eric- Thanks! The finger picks did bother me for a while, until I found out from an online video lesson that I was wearing them backwards. Oops. Then they still took some getting used to, but I think I'm getting the hang of it.
RuthieJ- Thanks! It does help to have a musical background, but the banjo is different enough to create a challenge.
Dharma Bum- I'm still in awe of the fact that I can record a video on my camera, and post it! Part Two is coming...

LauraH- That does it. A mandolin video is in the works! My kids are now very into shooting videos. With my camera, because theirs don't have sound. I just may take this opportunity to upgrade!

Larry- I always think my voice sounds strange on recordings; more nasal and low than what I think it is. I'll have to get my guitar out and do a song one of these times!
