new profile photo

Okay, so some of you may have noticed that I changed my profile photo. I thought the old one looked, well, obnoxious in a way so I finally took a self portrait that I didn't hit the "erase" button on the camera right away. I'm strange that way, I guess I haven't quite accepted my "late 30's look" the way I should. When I was in college, I would have given anything to have hair that color (it was much lighter then, kind of a honey blonde).

Well, just think! When you're seventy you'll be looking back at that photo and wondering what you were fussing about.

You're a lovely lady, Deb. Maturity is a beautiful, grounded and grounding thing.

Nice photo - little Mona Lisa smile. Liked the pictures of the kitties - you are right it should be against the law for them to be so cute.

They are both good shots. It helps when the subject is easy on the eye.

Like the other photos I've seen of you, this one is lovely.
I noticed the new profile picture yesterday and enlarged it to get a better look at your natural earthy beauty, that smile, and those blue-gray eyes...
You are a deep and soulful looking woman Deb, and as far as I can tell, no make-up.
YES! YES! YES!

madcap- I guess when I was eighteen I was all up in arms about some photos of myself! Little did I know...

doubleknot- the "Mona Lisa" smile seems to have worked better than anything else in self-portrait attempts.

FC- *blush* I just thought the one, with the lean and the beer, looked weird when I was trying to make an occasional serious comment on blogs. Maybe that's a sign I should not venture into serious comments. ;)

Jim- *blushing more* Makeup-free for about three years now! Partly out of necessity, as it was difficult to wash a makeup-laden face before we had a well pump, but now I don't feel good about spreading unnecessary manufactured goop on my face.

cindy- *still blushing* thanks!
