New 'puter!

I came home from work and hooked the whole thing up. Now we're online in the new house, and if I want to blog at 3 AM there isn't a long walk thru cold and mud to stop me!

Ahem...more coherent posts are forthcoming. :)

Really, "blog" isn't a verb. There. I've said it!

What's left at the old place to lure you over there anymore?

Well, I see a "blog" as the equivalent to a "journal." A "post" to the blog is equivalent to writing in the journal. You wouldn't say "I'm going to write a journal about that." You might, but you'd sound wrong. Rather, you would say "I'm going to write in my journal about that." Same with blogs. "I'm going to write a post on my blog about that." It's as plain as day to me.

I agree with Pablo that I feel correct in saying "I'm going to write a post on my blog" but I also say "I'm going to blog about that." In fact Art is always asking me if I'm going to blog about this or that.

I'd say it's verbable.

Pablo- my seed shelf is now set up there, with tomatoes, peppers, and a few other things started. That will be a post this week.

Wow, I inadvertently started a grammar war! :) Of course, "blog" as noun or verb is a very recent addition to our ever-evolving language (is it in Webster's yet?) I don't generally approve of "verbing" nouns ("Source" as verb in particular really irks me) but I guess I've never really given much thought to my use of "blog". And I have heard of some people who "journal".

Ah, new love... :)

But soon the lust(er) will be gone as the drive fills and the memory starts to fail. In time you'll start to look at other computers. Thinking how green the CPU is on the other side of the bus... Then one day you'll bring home a hot little number that computes pi ever so much faster. The old model will find itself shuffled off to a distant desk, sad, dejected, lonely for those heady early days of love.

Enjoy the process while it lasts! :)
