starling

So many other highlights from today's Christmas Bird Count, but I love this photo. I should probably crop it a little, but I'm not too fussy that way.

It's a great photo. And of a starling, of all things.

Neat shot. Hope the count was fruitful.

Love the photo. I think it works best as is, without being cropped!

Oh, I think it's wonderful just the way it is Deb! Love the lines and the lone bird in the window!

Two large flat colors, with some white lines, excellent. Of course I love barn wood, so I'm biased.

I love the colors in this photo Deb -- especially the turquoise sky!

Oh, don't crop it. It's perfect, all tucked up there, great and small, on the window ledge.

Happy happy New Year, Deb! Health and happiness to you and yours.

Hugh- Thanks, and thanks for commenting!

FC- Yes, the count was fruitful in that I got to spend the day with some wonderful people. Oh, and we did spot the most unusual birds of any of the groups doing the count! More on that later...

Fisher- Thanks for the input. I agree.

Jayne- The more I look at it the more I think those lines would not be better if I cropped it.

Lausten North- This barn is less than two miles from my house (I should know the exact distance, it's on my running route!) I am so glad someone has taken excellent care of the barn. Maybe you might know, a local acoustic band (KRT)used to hold parties there...

RuthieJ- We were blessed with beautiful blue skies for our bird count.

Lynne- Thank you. When we were stopped there counting starlings, I just thought the light was perfect and that photo had to be taken!

Vicki- Happy New Year and best wishes for the year ahead for you and yours. You have two kids you can surely be proud of.
