Heeere's Granny!

Yep. I'm a step grandma now. But isn't he CUTE? I had a hard time believing this was my stepson's own child, the child of the boy whom I watched grow up since he was six or so. Wow.

Calvin, Mr. Attitude, and Starflower are thrilled as can be to be uncles and aunt. And they were happy to be reunited with the proud father, Tom, for a good game of catch and baseball. The newborn, of course, slept most of the time. I hear he's a night baby though. Ah the memories.

What lovely pictures! It's nice to see the baby of course, but I'm tickled to see your brood too, and how big they're getting. Amazing, isn't it?

Congratulations on all of them!

Madcap- Thanks! They are getting big, all of them. Calvin will be 12 in less than a month, and he is almost as big as me. The other night I put on Starflower's flip-flops by mistake, and they almost fit me! I'll bet your kids are flourishing too. :)

Nothing more beautiful than a baby. Of course it will be years before I'll see a grandchild. (Damned kids and their stoopid educations!)

Calvin has your smile.

Congrats to all! But, I gotta say, you are the youngest looking granny I ever saw!

What a cutie! I agree though - you look too young to be a granny!

Hey, you're now a step-grandma. Congratulations!

But it's not all bottle feeding and dandling him in your lap and taking cute pictures of his cute smile. You now have grandmotherly duties. You must teach the little guy all about the outdoors—i.e., show him how to catch frogs and grasshoppers and crayfish; point out birds and wildflowers; feed him wild apples and blueberries. Also, introduce him to the banjo and start him pickin'. Bake him endless trays of cookies (yeah, you can wait 'til he get a tooth or two on this one).

And more than anything, love and spoil him to the very best of your abilities from here on out.

Sweet! Nothing is better than a cute little baby that you can give back at the end of the day....
