Happy 13th of July

Still more proof that I live in the Unofficial Coldest Spot in Minnesota.

The garden looked okay, but sometimes frost damage doesn't show up until later in the day.

Update: Pickling cucumbers and winter squash sustained some light frost damage. I have now seen frost in every month of the year.

I KNOW! Brrrr... wearing a sweater to work today (although I do most days, too much air conditioning at work).

Sorry I missed you on Saturday... I was around, but doing other stuff at home and didn't figure you'd be in town after all. Next time, eh?

Send some of that my way, would you?

But ...How ...Are you sure you aren't in the southern hemisphere?

Unbelievable.

I believe YOU of course.

Holy crap, Deb! I heard on WCCO that there might be some scattered frost up north, and you have the photographic evidence.

GTR- I wore a sweatshirt, and it came in handy out on the lake I was on.

Traffic was pretty bad going out to Park Point, so once we were there we didn't go back into town. They had Fitger's beer on tap, so we were all set! We'll meet up one of these times.

Pablo- How much would you like?

FC- There was not a word that could describe what I was feeling this morning. Kind of wonder and disbelief and consternation all rolled up into one. I've heard about the polar ice caps melting, but I just cannot believe this little spot on Earth is getting warmer!

RuthieJ- Good old WCCO. I grew up listening to them...Boone and Erickson, Steve Cannon. Not the same these days, but I'm glad they still get excited about the weather.

You've had my brain practically exploding trying to remember the name of the woman on WCCO radio from when I was little! I finally had to close down the laptop and walk away.....JOYCE LAMONT!!!
I think now I'm really giving my age away...

Lynne- I remember Joyce!!! My parents always had the radio on in the house; in fact, when I was at my dad's the day I met you, he had left the radio on (he was at work). So Ma Linger and Morgan Mundane and Backlash Larue are all etched into my subconscious.

Good grief! Remind me to quit moaning about the heat.

Whoa - that is just so wrong! Saw the link to this at Rurality. Makes me feel guilty for all the hot temps we're having in the twin cities!!

Rurality- I moan about the heat when it gets above 80.

Anonymous- Thanks for the link! I'll have to compare it to my weather observations here.

Kris- Welcome, and thanks for commenting! I think Lake Superior is part to blame; we're just far enough away from it that cooler air might get pushed our way.
