We finally have a room. A finished ROOM! I took the day off on Monday, hoping to grout the slate floor by the hearth, but I ended up going to our storage shed with The Hermit and getting that comfy green chair and that beautiful Mission style coffee table, and a few framed art prints and such.
Every time I go out there, I just want to sink into whatever piece of furniture I am on, and and just relax. But the TV will be in that empty corner on Friday, so I suppose I won't have too much time for relaxing. Except for Twins games. :)

You'll need stands for your mandolin, guitar and banjo too! It's just lovely Deb. The sun on your wood floors is so warm and welcoming.
After I commented I looked at the room some more. I love that fresh green color and is that a field guide on the table? :)
Lynne- you are so observant! That is Sibley's field guide to Eastern birds, which I figured I could maybe use in there.
The green is actually more of a mint green, it looks darker in these photos, but it is a beautiful, relaxing color.
Musical instrument stands are coming. This place has great acoustics!
Woo hoo! It's beautiful!
Looks gorgeous and I hope you'll have that nice light drifitng in year round.
The light just floods in, doesn't it? Beautiful!
deb, the place is looking amazing.
OH, that is soooo pretty! I, too, love the green. I really like the way it plays off the warm yellow of the floors. Great job!
Very pretty. I love the floors!
Mom this picture is so beautiful oh by the way check your cell and call me back. It is beauutiful though.
that is really beautiful. i love the furniture, the color of the walls, the sunlight, the view of the woods out the window. congrats to all of you!
What a nice room. I love the color of the walls, and the wood flooring. You will have so much enjoyment of this room.
Thanks all. I should add, this picture was taken in the morning, and the sunlight is coming through a sliding glass door on the east side of the house. This winter, the sun will be coming through the window in the picture, from the south, so this room will always be bright and sunny.
Calvin and I moved the TV in this evening, and it really doesn't look too bad in that corner.
May I ask, what did you use for a finish coat on your floors? I am building a house also and just looking into options for that.
Bee-yoo-tee-full Deb! I love that green color of the walls too and the floor is gorgeous! I would love to relax in a place like this too.
