This was taken in a spot in the woods that sometimes has standing, or gently running, water. It is shaded most of the day so the snow is in a thaw/melt cycle. Because of our late deep snow, the ice is white in color. Because of runoff from acidic soil and pine needles, it gets the "chicken gravy" color.
The Radio Flyer was left there last fall when this area was much drier and the kids were doing some kind of excavation project. It may need a little WD40 when it is freed.
Barefoot- and my yard is a veritable treasure trove. :)
