I love hoodies! They are indeed extremely cool.

Pretty mergansers. I'll have to start checking out the ponds around here a little bit closer for new migrants.

Super!
Sally must have been in the house!

Pablo- They are there, they just have super sensors that can detect when the Prolechariot is arriving...then they disappear.

Penelope- Hoodies rule!

RuthieJ- I am sure I'm missing lots of migrants just by not checking water bodies every day.

LauraH- You'll miss them because...they don't come by your area?

Kay- Thanks!

Jayne- If we put up some wood duck nest boxes, we just might get some hoodies in one!

Webb- It took me until I was maybe 35 to finally see one here in Minnesota. They are everywhere, but you have to know how to see them.

FC- Yes she was. I was bringing Calvin home from a sleepover at his friend's house, just a half mile up the road, when Calvin said "Is Dad testing decoys on the pond?" I backed up the car, affirmed that those were real live ducks, and drove up to the house, got the camera, made sure Sally didn't pick up on my intention to walk out to the pond, and got the photos. Sometimes it's hard to not show your intentions to a lab.
