What you see above are my basil plants. What's left of them anyway. We had frost the night before last. It's a good thing most of my garden beds remain unplanted!The kids are celebrating their first full day off school today. Sometimes I wish I was a teacher.

No you don't.
So sad about your basil. My personal worst frost happened on June 24th one year here in Maine. I stall as long as possible these days when it comes to planting.

Waaa! I can't believe you had a hard frost! Armstrong finished finals yesterday. I'm always happy to have the more relaxed pace of summer for my kids but by August I'll be ready for the structure again. Kids don't know how good they have it to have a whole summer off.
How sad is that!!! In June none the less. Oh how I am glad I live in California.
