This is the east/west road that leads to my north/south road that leads to my home. One mile down, 3/4 mile south. Sometimes driving home, I feel like I'm way out there.
Chive used to work survey, and he used to live in Northern Ontario, and he says that not only does it look very similar, but the survey teams laid it out the same way, too.
One of my favorite things about driving over and away from the north shore of Superior was the feeling that you had left the edge of civilization, that you could go deep into the rest of the world. Of course, in reality one would just end up in Canada (a calmer, more humorous civilization) or North Dakota (?).

I'd say so! :)
By the way, that much snow would shut down all of Alabama for weeks!
You've been back here taking pictures again!

You've got a lot more snow than we do right now.
That much snow would be a state holiday here!
It's nice to be "out there".
gorgeous photo, deb. makes me miss snow.
I'd say you are way out there for sure! Beautiful country roads in the snow. Looks lovely, cold, and definitely out there.
