The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources now has its own Eagle Cam, and apparently the parents couldn't wait to be Internet stars because they laid their eggs in January, much earlier than normal for Minnesota!

Oh dear, now this goofy weather even has the eagles messed up. I doubt if the chicks will hatch. Will they lay more eggs this spring?
Yes, that is rather disturbing. I saw a pair of eagles a month ago near a nest by Brainerd, in the northern part of the state. I didn't see them yesterday when I drove by there again, but it had me wondering. I don't know if eagles have time to lay another clutch if the first one fails. And hearing about the decline of moose in MN is disheartening as well.
We had an eagle-cam here last year that was very popular, alrho some were taken aback at some of the aggressive behavior of the chicks. Hope yours survive.
What a great link Deb! Wow, that's so early... sure hope all goes well for them. The Decorah eagles have built a second nest in another tree, and as of yet, have not chosen which nest they will use this year, the new one, or the one with all the wonderful cameras which allow us all to peek in!
Wrks fine on my laptop -- right now it is 6:20 PM and she is sitting tight on the nest. I do wonder about the hatching so early, though. Guess we'll just have to watch and see.
