winter is here

I spent the morning taking care of unfinished summer business while the snow fell, like bailing water out of a canoe and kayak and turning them over on shore. I guess this is to be expected for this time of year, but last week's 60 degree weather had me thinking there would be more time.

This is going to be a busy week. Dress rehearsal for "Hello Dolly" is tomorrow evening, complete run-through rehearsals on Monday and Tuesday, and a morning performance for the elementary school on Wednesday. Then evening performances Thursday-Saturday, and a matinee on Sunday. So unless I find something really unusual to blog about, see you a week from tomorrow!

What a gorgeous picture! I'm still enjoying our mild Oklahoma autumn, but I do look forward to the winter.

Nice shot—and a good reminder of why I love winter. Today, however, it was 70˚F in Ohio and I spent much of the afternoon planting bulbs.

Good luck on the musical—and break out the firewood!

What a gorgeous photo - reminds me of how pretty "real" winter is, and how much I hate it!! Sorry, I'm a southern girl at heart.

Break a leg!

I still can't believe there was so much snow up your way this early Deb! Hey, break a leg and be sure to let us know how it all went!!!

Riley- Thank you for commenting here! I've been enjoying the thoughtful posts on your blog.

Grizz- You shortened your name! I don't think we'll see any 70 degree days here for a while. Glad you spent your day doing the hopeful act of planting!

Webb- That is the view out the patio door of the family room. I absolutely love that elm tree, and I hope Dutch elm disease doesn't make its way here.

Jayne- I guess it's the biggest November storm since the Halloween blizzard of '91. Hope I don't break that leg slipping in the snow! ;-)
