damn phoebes

They're in the new house. Again. Despite the fact that the only entrance for them is under the eaves.

I'll leave a door or window open for them. I guess.

Little stinkers! I suppose they remembered the way in from last year and were happy that you'd left them such a beautiful home!

Dear Deb,
Thank you for the extra large bird house. We have called (bird called of course) all our relatives and they are flying in.
You really shouldn't have.
Your pals,
The Phoebes

lynne and FC- Yeah, I'm sure they were happy we built the roof, so their nest would stay even more warm and dry! I'm going to have to make a phoebe nesting structure next year, somewhere near the house, maybe a semi-enclosed thing...I do love these birds!

I'm just worried that the nestlings will be disturbed by the impending installation of roofing, and interior finishing. Ah heck, they'll most likely be fledged when the interior stuff takes place!

Deb- I can't wait! I re-arranged my work schedule to get part of the weekend before Duluth off so we can haul our camper up and get it set up at Hasty for the summer. The weekend of Duluth I'll go up Friday night so I can be ready to go Saturday morning. Believe it or not, I've been eading a little about gull id too. Gull's tend to make my eyes roll back in my head...but I'm gonna try.

Ooooh- your word verification is
pdqid!!
No kidding!
